I'm such a slug...
I've got one week of work left before I start my and I'm not doing anything. It's kinda sad packing up the last 4 years of my life and moving on from good friends I've made at work. Well, at least I can bring their resumes with me. I've pretty much closed out everything i'm supposed to do and just waiting for my last day next Thursday. After that, I'm off to new and different challenges.
It feels like forever since I got to play bass at Church. I'm stoked to get to play next week. The team is awesome this year. The chemistry is great! Only thing is, I have to play cello at a wedding right after service, so I have to show up to EPIC in a tux. I don't think anyone's even ever worn a tie to church. Maybe I can convince the whole worship team to come in formal wear...how 'bout it Samurai Princess? Think we can swing that?
Summer is coming up......Drink of the Day:
Mojito
3 fresh mint sprigs
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp fresh lime juice (or 1/2 lime)
1.5 oz light rum
club soda
In a tall thin glass, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside.
Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly.
Top with ice.
Add rum and mix.
Top off with *chilled* club soda (or seltzer).
Add a lime slice and the remaining mint, and serve.
